Theresa May makes history

On Wednesday, Theresa May signalled a major shift in Conservative policy on affordable housing by insisting that people should feel “proud” of living in a state-funded home.

In a speech on housing policy, the Prime Minister pledged to spend an extra £2 billion on social housing and will said politicians and society should stop “looking down” on those who live in affordable homes.
